Introduction


YDLIDAR GS2 is a Linear array solid LiDAR (hereinafter referred to as GS2). Based on the principle of Triangulation, it is equipped with related optics, electricity, and algorithm design, to achieve 100 degrees high-precision laser distance measurement, and output point cloud data of the scanning environment. It can be used for robot obstacle avoidance, path planning, etc.

Note 1: It is factory FQC standard value, 80% reflectivity material object.

Note 2: The relative error value indicates the accuracy of the Lidar measurement. Relative error (mean value) =(average measured distance-actual distance)/actual distance *100%, sample size: 100pcs.

Note 3: Lidar is a precision device, please avoid using Lidar under high or low temperatures or strong vibration situations, the relative error parameter index will be relatively larger, and it may exceed the typical value.

YDLIDAR GS2 LIDAR DEVELOPMENT KIT DESCRIPTION

➢ GS2 lidar*1(Standard version of the GS2 lidar. )

➢ USB Type-C Cable*1(Use with USB adapter board to connect GS2 and PC. USB cable is both a power supply cable and a data cable)

➢ USB Adapter Board*1(Realize the function of USB to UART, which is convenient for the fast interconnection between GS2 and PC.)

 

Note: The USB Adapter board has two USB TYPE C interfaces: USB_DATA, and USB_PWR. ​USB_DATA: Data powered interface. In most cases, this interface can be used to meet power and ​communication requirements. ​USB_PWR: Auxiliary power supply interface. The USB interface of some development platforms has weak ​current drive capability. At this time, the auxiliary power supply can be used.


Ultra-wide FOV to assist robot vacuum cleaner through blind spots

Field of View up to 100 degrees, Wide range of detection

YDLIDAR provides 808nm and 850nm two waveband options, and the detection signals do not interfere with

each other. Two FOVs for better scanning results.

 


Obstacle avoidance along the wall with performance improvement

The GS2 can obtain more measurement information in the vertical direction, helping smart devices such as robot vacuum cleaners and service robots with accurate real-time monitoring of the edge, efficiently complete multiple difficult tasks.

The size of the whole device is only 25.6 (L) × 23.6 (H) × 10.8 (W) mm, which can be flexibly and easily integrated into various small smart devices. It can fully meet the refined detection needs of intelligent equipment such as robot vacuum cleaners.
